Scott, a professional geologist, has been President of American Petrographic Services since 1990. He is responsible for the independent petrographic analysis testing laboratory where the Kensington Rune Stone was brought for investigation in 2000. He has been the principal petrographer in more than 5,000 investigations throughout the world, including the evaluation of fire damaged concrete at the Pentagon following the attacks of September 11, 2001.

HOLY GRAIL IN AMERICA, a two-hour documentary which premiered on the History Channel in September 2009, chronicles Scott’s 10-year pursuit of the origin and meaning of the Hooked X symbol which appears on the Kensington Rune Stone and on 4 other North American rune stones. The film also presents Scott’s research into the unknown and mysterious world of European visitors to North America prior to Columbus.

Scott has made over 200 presentations to groups and organizations, and has been interviewed on numerous radio and television stations and featured in newspaper articles throughout the country.  He and his wife Janet have two children and live in a suburb of Minneapolis.
